Well folks, it's been an amazing journey, full of stress, anxiety, excitement, and unbridled joy.

I just got back from a trip out to the Bay Area, where I was able to enjoy warm and sunny weather, something that the East Coast has been lacking lately. I've had tons of different opinions thrown my way, and I desperately needed to do some deep soul-searching.

Anyway, just a few short hours before the deadline, I (finally) accepted the offer to matriculate at HBS, and declined the GSB. It was definitely NOT easy, but I've found peace and happiness with my decision.

... Actually, those words sound inadequate. I am so freakin' excited about my decision! I am going to my dream school, and I am beyond excited for the next two years.

  1. Congratulations, we will soon be classmates. Just curious, what was the final tipping point that brought you to HBS instead of GSB. I interviewed for admission to the GSB and frankly, if they had admitted me I would be going there. But like you I am thrilled about how things have turned out! Congrats again.

    1. There wasn't necessarily a tipping point. While there are a million resources that the GSB would be the perfect school for me, I went with my gut. HBS was my dream school when I started this process, and I think I would have regretted giving up that dream. I would likely be more comfortable at the GSB, while HBS will push me out of my comfort zone and allow me to grow and develop personally.

  3. Be honest, It was the promise of cookies that pulled you to the dark side. No shame in it, it happens to the best of us. See you next year :)

    1. It was actually the cupcakes that I had at ASW. The cookies were sub-par.

  4. I have been reading your blog and following your progress on gmatclub.com for sometime now but never really reached out to you!

    Congratulations!!!
You've had one hell of a ride this admission cycle. Your story, your progress, and especially your evolution (both in the form of your thoughts and experiences) over the last few months are truly an inspiration to us applicants.

I wish you the very best for the future at HBS and hope to see you there next year! ;)

    Cheers!
